Does anyone know when/where the SHI is this year?
I'm mulling over getting some road race times this autumn but I don't want to miss the SHI again if it's round then - I can't find it in the fixtures only seen VHI and JHI. Or is it in the Spring again?

Rumour has it it's in Team England's backyard - SYO land ("I may be old but I can still have ya") in December.
Let's see if the selectors can do a proper job for them this year!

Cheers for that Jase, nice comment for those of us who were selected. The majority of "Team England" were at the World Cup, and so for a team of 6-10th reserves I don't think we performed too badly at all.
Will? We've got proper fire now!

The English team selection procedure used to be a load of nope and it sounds like it still is. But more importantly why was the SHI the same time as the World Cup....it just turns the SHI in to a joke competition.

Holding the SHI in December is pretty much a joke as well if you are looking at treating it as a serious competition.
Maybe I need to come back to UK to sort it out:) I had many meetings / discussions over the years trying to turn the SHI into something meaningful.. mainly because a lot of SOA Elite Funding was based on results of SHI & I felt it important to stage the competition when there was at least the prospect of athletes being at thier peak.... no way that's going to be the case in December. What the **** does the ESG or whatever think it's doing if this is accurate????
No doubt the reasoning will be so as not to clash with WC Finals etc... but that's a GB issue, not a 4 nations issue... and in any case that's only 2 weekends in October or whenever....
