Compass Sport
Thought it was excellent and a number of very good articles
Could you avoid black print on grey pages - both Mrs Barny and myself struggled to read the pages concerned - however a minor complaint compared with the overall enjoyment
Well done and thankyou

I have had lots of feedback on the mag and in general the only critisism seems to be the lack of legibility on the Micr-o article. This was the first time that I have ever put something like this together and had no idea what was on screen would look like when professionally published. Turns out need to steer away from dark backgrounds! Production was also very rushed as we are all new to the game and had limited time.
Still confused by your comments mharky -please tell me why -or i can't fix it!

Dumb question, but how do you go about subscribing to Compasssport these days? I've just started Orienteering again after a number of years, and back in the day you did it through BOF, but I don't think I've been offered the option at all since I started again. It seems to be easier to come across and subscribe to Orienteeering Today.
Something you might want to think about in terms of getting the revenue side of things up.

You could try the website, http://www.compasssport.co.uk, which has all the details of how to subscribe on there. There's a link to pay by Paypal. Or you can send a cheque for £23 if you're a BOF member, £24 if not, payable to Compass Sport to 1F1, 42 Dalkeith Road, Edinburgh, EH16 5BS.
Not sure why that is so difficult!

I am really enjoying the magazine; I keep re-reading it on the train which is a good thing.
Loved the Regional Event analysis and maps; having run Eridge was good to compare with winners and identify with their routes.
No real problems with colours for me, but some of the spacing was a bit odd perhaps.
Looking forward to the next one
