The BOF website is showing the Sutton Park event as being cancelled.
OD website was updated today with the start lists.
Does anyone know the true situation?

Well... I have spoken to the organiser. He is not aware of any cancellation.
The matter will be clarified Wednesday.
The entry says:
Sun 12 Feb sutton park regional event od Regional Championship Event Definitely Cancelled (info posted on Tue 7 Feb at 20:49) - eMail: glh8scats@hotmail.com
Anyone know who glh8scats@hotmail.com is?

Thanks for the quick response.
If the message is not genuine it suggests that BOF need to tighten the security on who can issue the cancellation notice.
Cheers

Looking at the BOF web site someone has created a second event called 'sutton park regional event' which duplicates the original entry but with a different e-mail contact address.
As the owner of this new event the person concerned can then issue a cancellation notice against it. The original OD entry remains unaffected.
This suggests that someone who is authorised to submit event registrations to the BOF website is mis-using the privelege.

Anyone can submit event information to the BOF website so long as they can answer the relatively straightforward password question. It is a very useful facility.
Let's not have a kneejerk reaction and tighten this up over one isolated incident. There are suitable disclaimers on the site - caveat emptor.

The cancellation seems to have disappeared from the BOF site, but no reference made. What happens if someone saw it and doesn't link to nope. They might not turn up.
Diets and fitness are no good if you can't read the map.

Very possibly. Turning up anyway if you think that the event's been cancelled shows foolhardy optimism in my view.
