..ESOC website missing in action...
..can't access the BOF fixture list at work (it is a freeserve page and is blocked)...
Does anyone have any info on the ESOC chasing sprint at Hopetoun House this weekend please?

EDINBURGH SOUTHERN ORIENTEERING CLUB SPRINT O
Sunday, 15th January 2006
Hopetoun House nr. South Queensferry
NT/090789
Terrain: Mostly flat, fast estate parkland with some small areas of steeper ground and thicker vegetation.
Travel: From South head for the Forth Road Bridge along the A90. Just before the bridge take the slip road onto the A904 west. After approx. 0.5mile turn right into South Queensferry. The turn-off to Hopetoun House is on the left directly under the bridge. Hopetoun House is about 3km along this road. From North, when leaving the Forth Road Bridge take the slip road to the A8000, but at the roundabout turn right onto the A904 west. Then proceed as above.
Categories: Long  two runs of 4.0-4.5km each
Short  two runs of 2.5-3.0km each
There will also be a Yellow course with entry on the day.
Sprint Format: Start will be about 150m from Parking/Assembly; Finish will be adjacent to Parking/Assembly. Start times for the first legs will be between 10:30 and 11:30, using a punching start (SI electronic punching system). A chasing start will be used for the second leg  the competitor¹s time for the first leg will be added to 12:00 to give their start time.
The second leg will be in a Score format with optimum lengths as above.
There will be pre-marked maps for both legs and control descriptions will be on the map.
Entries: To Andrew Dalgleish at dalgleish@gmail.com (by email) or Flat 3F3, 80 Slateford Road, Edinburgh, EH11 1QU (by post on a BOF SEF). Details we need are name, address, phone number, age class, choice of Long or Short course, SI card number (or note of the need to hire a card) and BOF number if available. Closing date: Wednesday, 11th January. Start times will be sent out by email, phone or post. Very limited entry on the day.
Entry Fees: £6.00 for seniors; £3.00 for Juniors and students. Yellow course: £3.00. Please send sprint race fees with your entry if entering by post (cheques: ESOC). If entering by email fees will be taken on the day.
