Aldershot Long O
Not a lot to offer on the O calendar that weekend so why not come have a blast round our areas. I dont believe the planners can guarantee a lot of climb though.
Dont forget the Mil League on Wed 14 Dec your chance to get into Devils Pound once more. Great area when the brackens down. Entry is a bargin £1.00 if you have your own emit £2.00 otherwise.

SJ. Aren't you a student?
in which case you shouldn't be paying full-price senior fees.
The students fought long and hard for reduced fees many years ago. There should an advertised student fee (incl unwaged) if not then you should be eligible to pay the junior fee.

Looks good and doesn't clash with anything else I'd do. That just leaves the tricky decision of doing the MTBO or the Long-O (as I presume it wouldn't be possible to fit both in
) - shame there's not an option of half and half!

i think i'll be going - would love to have done a mixture of both, but don't think i'll have my bike with me. shame really, would have been good practice for the new MTBO series.
The reward of a thing well done is to have done it.

I have been involved with the event- I have been doing some mapping- updating a couple of the maps and mapping a strip between the areas. I have also chatted to the planner, Dave Rollins , about the event. I think it will be an epic. I'll be on my bike - no way I can run that far. Lots of it is biking Nirvana - approx 45km of off road biking - amazing!
And for all this the entry fee is a real bargain.
A must do event.

Aldershot Long-O & MTBO
This event is still evolving, so perhaps an update would help. Dave Rollins the planner now tells me the MTBO will be about 40 K but the long O should stay under 30k. The admin will now be from Hawley barracks, with the start on Lower Star Posts as access to RMAS is getting even harder with uknowwho about to arrive. We will bus runners out there, MTBO use ride there as a warm-up. You then go from LSP to Bagshot Heaths, to Mytchett, to Ash Ranges and then over to Long Valley where the short MTBO & shorter run start. Based on your requests I will look at allowing an MTBO to LV and run back to Hawley option, depends on how we get bikes back. From LV it is over to Fleet Pond and onto Minley to finish. We will publish more accurate course lenghts as soon as known. If this all works we are looking to repeat in the summer, but with a canoe section in the middle and perhaps even a Rat Race style option.
Please note that at the moment we cannot offer EOD as we need names for you to gain access to the barracks and posting out final details over Xmas means they may not get to you in time, hence CD of 22 Dec.

So do we need to get the posted final details to be allowed access or will they be available online? I'm unlikely to be at home the week before the event what with visiting family 'n stuff.
