JK 2006 transport
I'm now planning travel and accomodation to the JK and so far one of the main hurdles is transport to the events from the event centre and whether the event centre is easily accessible by public transport. I haven't seen anything as yet for any kind of bus service provided similar to the fantastic service this year, could there be one in the pipeline?

Boston Spa is served by bus services
770/771 Leeds - Boston Spa - Wetherby - Harrogate
and
780/781 Knaresborough - Wetherby - Boston Spa - Tadcaster
see http://www.wymetro.com/BusTravel/BusTimetables/700.htm
You don't have much chance of getting to the races by public transport

I suggest an email to the JK coordinator might be in order - there is a contacts page on http://www.jk2006.org.uk

You can travel from Boston Spa to Temple Newsam via a couple of buses in about an hour.
Ilkley rail station is closer to assembly than the event car parking. Bus from Boston Spa into Leeds then train to Ilkley would take about 1 hour 50ish.
Sunday and Monday could be tricky though...

Don't be confused into thinking Boston Spa is anywhere near Boston (Lincs.) on the Wash coast - it isn't (nor is it anywhere near Boston, Mass.of Tea Party fame) !
