Pooleys Reports
I thought these were great on both NOPE and BOF web site. It just goes to show if you have the ear you can get the info on the website. I think NOPE should ensure someone influential is designated to file important news on BOF website.

What a pile of nope.
I don't think you need to be 'influential' to get news on either website. If anyone writes a piece of news that is deemed interesting or relevent, then it'll get put up!
Furthermore, you don't need to have a name like pooley (not saying your name isn't cool/street/nice chris ....though it does roll off the tounge well on a run in!)
Nice reports though!

Actually I thought the level of coverage of the MTBO WOC on BOF website showed up the totally sad & ineffective nature of BOF:) If people have the time & energy to file reports like that on a totally minority sport then why wasn't the coverage of WOC & JWOC not more comprehensive???
How much of the (almost) half million pounds per year spend on elite orienteering goes the way of MTBO ........ ???
BTW... what's the new publicity person called... can't remember:)

Gross's comment was somewhere near my point. I thought Pooleys reports were good and I didn't feel they were out of place but I felt it showed the past inadequacies to post our orienteering reports on the BOF web site. Even when items are promised i.e the Start selections they are late. I don't feel this is all BOF's fault. But I think they need to appoint someone to submit reports for all major events and to have an easily accessible place for people to submit news items to.

Agree - someone needs to know BEFORE an event that it's their job to post an account on the website - not as an after-thought. I know Suse regularly contacts people in advance to ask if people can cover something for her - BOF need to get into that way of thinking and I would guess that Caroline is the person to do the contacting. (this is meant to be a constructive suggestion not a criticism)
