NOC went out ahead of DEE (by 20secs)
HOC had a 10 minute lead though, but the experience and Speed of Andy and Dave showed.

So how many M/W10's were there then Lost Again? I know there was at least one but the team were disq, but I suspect not for having an M10. If any team takes M 10's then they should not be able to use them for the Handicap as other clubs follow the rules and therefore may use a 12 where they could have a better 10. I know this has happened with my club in the past.
It is however very true that the youngsters can cope with the O but not with the Late evening disturbed night and early morning. It was hyped youngsters who were running round creating a disturbance during the managers meeting.

The above aside it was a very enjoyable event put on at the last moment by BAOC and was well planned and organised and provided all the usual social elements and had the plus of small rooms, on site catering, and a display linked to the radio control.
Well Done

I would like to back up what Hocolite said and congratulate BAOC on a very enjoyable Peter Palmers. this is particularly so when you consider the short time it they had to put it all toghether and the security problems using such a venue creates.
I would also like to add that if the rules state no 10s then teams entering them should either be refused entry or pulled from the competition. The rule is there for a reason and should be enforced.

As I see from the results, it was actually
1-HOC, 2-SARUM, 3-NOC, 4-HOC, 5-AIRE
HOC having a 9+ minute lead over SARUM, who were just under 2 minutes in front of NOC, with DEE and AIRE in the next 45 seconds.
Sounds like an absolutely cracking finish.

Looks like there have been some adjustments made to the time for the SARUM runners on leg 5 after there was only one map between the three of them. They had to wait several minutes to sort it out yet the split to control 1 shows only 50 seconds. I am pretty certain that SARUM did not go out in second place at the start of leg 6.

I heard Andy L took 15 minutes out of someone on last leg to ensure NOC victory. Hurrah big respect to Andy and all the NOC team. The glory days are back!

The was the closest finish in a Peter Palmers that I remember, Andy went out 11 1/2 minutes behind HOC and didn't think he could catch that amount we new it was on when he was five minutes down 15minutes into his run. A great run from Andy but unlucky to Dave of Dee.
