I've always liked the piece of film produced for a recent lucozade advert. If you can find it, it may provide some inspiration. It shows people from various sports preparing to start races/games. I remember there's an triathlete with a moustache and i think Jonny Wilkinson.

Taking PeterG's point.
The car park scene(s) from an orienteering comp could be amusing in the cold light of day.
and would certainly offer a different perspective of "sport". Not necessarily the one we wish to promote but .............

for me, orienteerin has always been more about the social aspect than the actually running.
perhaps a video montage of an Alc-O, i'm sure you would get points for originality!
a brief clip of carrot chunks flying past someone's ears, followed by much more running in vomit stained clothes.
might offered a strange insight to the orienteers mind?
either that or i think its quite funny at the start of events to see the line of gents pissing in the woods. tis a form of preparation...
