because of intricate knowledge of the day one area. if it will suitably aid you in acheiving a better result than you would get without the knowledge, then its cheating.
there was a thread involving this a while back.

Pictures are better than words because sometimes words are big and hard to understand.

Used for the JK relays the year the individual days were on Wass. Used for a National event a few years later. Quite pleasant in parts from what I remember.

More importantly, day 2 is quite a long way away from day 1. I hope the organisers will consider the issue of those who are staying in B&B, get early start times, but can't easily get early enough breakfast even if they are based at the suggested event Centre!

A completely impracticable suggestion in British orienteering. It means that you would have to ban orienteers left, right and centre from almost every event. I didn't see much banning of WMOA orienteers from last year's events (nor did I expect to), even though some will have known some areas intimately.

A logical non sequitur. The distance of Day 2 from Day 1 has virtually no effect on the Distance of Day 2 from the Event Centre. FWIW Day 1 is c30k west of the Event Centre, Day 2 is c 60k north east of it.

Does that mean we can disqualify jack and hector, cus they run for ilkley harriers which run on ilkley moor for training?
Cawthorne was used for the whiterose in 1995 and 2000 (i think)
