Is there any?
More specifically...anything on 1st-4th August
I'm interested in anything to do with orienteering, hill-running, road-running....etc etc...not too far from Dublin
I have looked but not getting anywhere...anyone know of anything going on?

try this closer ot the time, i can only seem to get it to put up til the end of july. http://orienteering.ie/builder.php3?Fixtures
july and august are usually extrememly quiet in ireland, north and south. although there is this on the 3rd but its 20 mile south of belfast. its a sprint race series and will be extremely well plannned (coz im the planner) http://www.niorienteering.org.uk/wee/
again on the northern side of the border, the Seven Sevens hill race. the 7 highest mourne mountains wich are above 700 metres. its 18.9 miles 8775 feet http://www.nimra.org.uk/racedetails.asp?rID=14
id say your best bet is this, http://www.imra.ie/?sec1=racedetail&id=309 hill race not too far south of dublin, its on a orienteering map and is quiote a nice area. shood be easy enuough to find someone to get a lift from the dublin outskirts.

In the words of Alanis Morisette, "A little bit ironic, don't ya think".
I want to walk up the side of the mountain, I want to walk down the other side of the mountain. I want to swim in the river, lie in the sun. I want to try being nice to everyone.

just back...lack of sleep meant racing that day wasn't such a great idea so we climbed up a mountain the next day and "skied" down the scree on our way down...not sure how much of that day was covered by my basic endsleigh insurance but it was great fun!
thanks very much to the hallidays whose helpfulness meant I could get my 8am flight on monday
