DARTMOOR LONG-O
This year’s Dartmoor Long-O will be on October 2nd, starting from Princetown, and linking up some of the Devon OC moorland areas that have not previously been used for Long-O, together with a small amount of new mapping. With courses at 25 and 17 km (plus a 6km short option) the event is ideal for Karrimor training, or just anyone who enjoys a good long run on the moors. Controls will be on large features, with accent on long legs and route choice. Running in pairs is welcomed.
Brendan Gould will plan the courses, Noel will control, and Geraldine organise; Jill Green as before has promised to provide a range of prizes. Laminated maps are available at an extra £1. Starts will be between 9am and 12. Phone 01364-73310 if you need to know more.
Entries should be sent to Roger Green, 39 Prospect Park, Exeter EX4 6NA 01392-278512 rogergreen@eurobell.co.uk Closing date September 20th £6/£2.50 (Laminated + £1) There is an entry form on http://www.devonorienteering.co.uk. EOD £1 extra only if there are spare maps.
With some 15 or so tors to navigate over or around note the date, or better still send off your entry, now.
