Yep, Eddie took the aptly named blue route along the top of the dunes which had views of the ladies only beach. I took the red route.

Days 2 to 5 were all on the spit at Klaipeda where the World Masters were held.

that is such an awesome map. top class terrain, and top class views,

crackin beach, some of the women aren't totally naked, they wear a wee bit of foil over their nose to protect it from the sun!! :oops:

Mmmm! Eddie could be on for a record breaking number of appearances winning the Harlequins Cake of Mortality for that - if nothing better comes along this summer - but let's face it - he could probably win it every month if i got to hear everything that he got up to - the map extract has slid over nicely so i hope no-one will complain if I use it - Excuse my ignorance but could someone just describe to me where about it is and what the body of water is.

Map is on the NIDA SPIT opposite Klaipda on the Lithuanian Coast. Western sea coast is the BALTIC SEA.

Where else in the world can you experience great maps, great terrain, great beaches & great sunshine all in one:)

You too can experience it before JWOC Spectator races in Lithuania next year..... spend 4 days running on these terrains & staying in the BALTIC STATES part town... PALANGA

Takas 5 Days is JWOC Spectator races.....

Actually quite similar to areas I've heard of as possible for WOC 2012... maybe not as bushy:)

seriously though, i'd love to go back there and do some more orienteering, did some class training with Bogle a few years back. its such great terrain and the maps were great, and you ahve the added bonus of the beach.

Klaipeda is pretty cool too, one of the best clubs i have ever been too, its class, more hot ladies than you can shake a stick at!!

I'm looking forward to returning to lithuania, if only to run on some decent runnable areas, steer clear of Vilnius in the middle of summer -except for the banter and the ladies of course. Gross -hope your still wearing that hat of yours.
