I'm guessing that they will put the live site up tomorrow, try again before the races. I will put a direct link up as soon as i find it out.

Both relays are being broadcast in their entirity on Finnish TV. nice. No live images, but there will be Jukola Radio if you want to tune in. But if you didn't understand TioMila radio then you aint got no chance with this...

Terä have 3 beasts and 4 people i aint ever heard of. But there are loads of teams in the top 20 with non-famous but amazing finns.

Tuna will do well, Nils is on form, Henke and Rikardo are always damn good in relays. Mr Kirlova will strike again, it all depends on leg 2,3,4... if they beast it, top 15. have it boys!

Halden... maybe, Caravan Rasti also maybe, Delta have lost the Lakinens. Malung are always good. JOK... 436th i reckon.

Have just looked at the entry list. I've never O'd in Scandanavia. Are all those Finnish teams M21-35 or are they mixed ages. If they are the former we'd better find what attracts them to the sport.
Diets and fitness are no good if you can't read the map.

They're are all mixed ages. there are teams of M70s, there are teams of people who have never orienteered before. However, there are still thousands of orienteers in Finland, but then that to do with their culture. I have a paper somewhere on the outdoor fitness and exercise revoloution of Finland. They used to all be fat and unhealthy, but the government did somthing about it.

i personally can't get the live commentary to work because i'm on the uni cache.

the Venla starts at 15:30 Finnish time, they are +2 hrs, so its off in about 15 mins!!!!


I can picture them warming up now, the run out is starting to get crowded. soon 861 women will head out for glory....
