yeah well me and the broon are going to a potentially legendary one tonight. death from above 1979 at the venue. as for my legendary gigs, ive been trying to stay out of it, but i think tomorrows work boredom may bring serious posting on the subject from me. u have been warned.
while i contemplate this, has anyone been to see legendary artists who were less than legendary on the night?
If you wanted a poo gig at Glasto 99, surely Dogstar / Keanu Reeves were the lowest of the low. Pappy poo pants. Sadly they didn't take the hint from all the bottles of urine, fruit and tennis balls lobbed at them. The Cardigans also under-performed there too.

Yep, and don'ty believe the review. As for oasis's don't believe the truth. DO believe the hype, it is a great album (but not quite up to DM, MG or MP)
My only bands are green day and feeder, but would have love to have seen The smashing pumpkins... 'Jelly in the belly of a beast'
dogstar have never been granted legendary status, of course theyre jobbie.
manics at glasto 99 were poo from what i saw on telly, but all the crticism from that gig made them come out fighting at t in the park a month later, where the were incredible. i saw them in 98 when they were pretty poo too. i also saw them last month when they were back to form, lots of old stuff, motown junk to finish. yes.
other legendary artists i have seen
dylan, the deen 98
radiohead, the deen 97
snow patrol at t last year (and a bunch of other times in the toilet venues of the central belt, but last year was the best.
mogwai a few times, always incredible
the pixies at t last year
the stooges in glasgow last year
metallica in the weege last year (they were surprisingly good)
rem
coldplay before they were riciculously huge and had only put the first album which was good.
the oxes, twice
oasis at murrayfield. also surprisingly good.
smashing pumpkins twice, the first time on the mellon collie tour. that was incredible.
idlewild when they still mattered.
and a bunch of bands far more important than anyone on this list, but that you will all go eh? or maybe just argue with me about it.
i want to have a memory.
green day are not legendary. seriously, stop it. the new oasis album is not good. its dull. like ever one they have made since definitiely maybe. they are not any good any more. forget them and stop encouraging the twats. and as for feeder, seriously, what on earth are u talking about? they are seriously fuckin horrible. and welsh. no wonder the drummer killed himself. i have never heard a half decent punk band go downhill to keane esqe turgid jobbie so quickly. go get chicken on a bone/pictures of pain, their debut single double a side, and then tell me that what they churn out now is valid.
jobbie
ah, that seems to have sorted out my hangover nicely. i feel alive.
oh and im going to see the most legendary band of all (as said by kurt cobain in about 92 i'll have u know) teenage fanclub on friday. and im going to lap it up.
hows that for a horrible music nerd rant eh? obnoxious? moi?
