if you have the opportunity to go orienteering, then go. go and you'll enjoy it. you'll get lost, stung, knackered, mucky, hot, sweaty, cold, scratched, lost again, hot again then stung again. you'll get beaten or you'll win, but you'll feel great for it all the same.

and if theres no orienteering for you to do, go for a run or find a hill race. if the suns shining it'll be ace, and if its thunderplumping, like it seems to be everywhere at the moment, then you'll feel ridiculous and anyone who see's you will think you're ridiculous.

but whatever you do, it'll make you better, healthier and enlighten your day regardless. it's not the time of year for stressing about o'ing, its the time for just sitting back and enjoying it in all its glory.

and (here comes the bitchin') its gonna be a helluva lot better than being stuck inside glued to a textbook learning all there is to know about intergral domains, cauchy riemann eqns, Kirkmans schoolgirls problem, distributions, ideals, irreducibles, stirling numbers, Poisson processes, Complex planes and their simple Poles, n-dimensional wave equations and the bloody interest rate formula i forgot in my exam which meant i missed the effing world cup!

I had to find out about Rocky's schoolgirls. :shock:

In a boarding school there are fifteen schoolgirls who always take their daily walks in rows of threes. How can it be arranged so that each schoolgirl walks in the same row with every other schoolgirl exactly once a week?

That sounds rather like trying to work how to arrange which gaffles, on which legs, on which courses a team in the Scottish Champs Relay should run
