Thanks Nopesport for the latest update on the FCC standings after Barns Cliff.

No thanks to BOF. Finally found a link that said 'Future Champions Cup' Took me straight to a blank page headed Compass Sport Cup

Undaunted, headed off down the Juniors link... Page Under Construction

Still undaunted searched on FCC and Future Champions Cup,.... made a cup of tea, drank it, had snooze..... then miracles - ..nothing found

Surely its not asking too much for up to date information to be posted on the website or for links to work!!

to be fair I think it is more as a result of PG's recent website death that the link is wrong. Although it is of my opinion that BOF should be providing the standings for events such as FCC, UK Cup & UKRL as being the basis of elite orienteering in this country.

Well unusual as it is for me, I must support BOF here!!!! BOF is made up of volunteers largely & PG is one who does a great amount of work on behalf of you as a BOF member.

I'd like to ask 'guest' the question what do you do for BOF (BOF being your fellow members.... assuming you are a member that is)

Brooner you're talking crap.... you can't expect every single task in British Orienteering to be done by BOF Office & paid officials.... volunteers are the backbone of our sport... always have been, always will be.

PG does FFC as part of his contribution to BOF... i.e. the membership in general

i think what brooner is saying is not that everything should be done by bof, but that surely bof should be delegating the volunteers, and at least linking to these volunteers efforts from the bof site.

that is certainly my opinion. volunteers are indeed the backbone, and pg does some really incredible service for the sport, i am genuinely really impressed, but bof needs to be linking to pg and helping him out durning website death etc.

On the BOF page where there was a link pointing to the wrong page in PG rebuilt site, it says at the top Please inform BOF office of any changes by eMail. I think BOF have better things to do than run daily checks on all these external links.

So I hope that having found the link was wrong, the 'guest' originator of this topic bothered to tell BOF.

It was not my intention to knock PG, I have utmost respect for him and the work he does at all levels for orienteering.
I was somewhat suprised that the official orienteering website, which I presumed was a first stop for all things orienteering, contained no information.

Apologies to PG if I caused any offence, web site crashes are outwith his control.
