and also a number of other ones i want clarifying:
b of the bang statue beats chainsaws?
chinese beats phish food? (surely fish (b)eat phish food would have been a better line of attack)
nottingham beats new york? (heard this is some sort of advert related but explain?)

Nothing so esoteric - the actual rose pictured is called Nottingham - that's all
I could,t understand why the BBC beat ground force - and I thought all that maths /geography stuff a bit boring.
Is there one of these new and exciting ice creams call Cosmopolitan - or was Peter strecthing the point on neapolitan?
I did how ever think the bends one was pure genius

It's a TV ad http://www.clarks.co.uk/ - it's the top one in the "TV ad play" section if you're really interested.

Shame I wasn't on-line at the time because I would loved to have posted "Ipswich beat Nottingham" (6-0 I believe!)

then again why bother with the whole of the rest of the house looking like JK central depot

I have to admit the thought did cross my mind but I thought it might spoil my squeeky clean image - so I was going to put King Kong on op of the Empire States building - but things moved too quickly! cracking banter - trying to finalise my running order for the banter night - not doing too well -sweep the staircase before HRH arrives.

So as not to derail the main thread,
Do any other JOKers reading recognise anything in Harry's Twatt picture?
I've seen it before and was pretty freaked. Larger version here.

put the url inside the url tag with the word you want hyperlinked between the opening and closing tags like this:
[ url = a url ] here [ / url ]
("normal" would be [ url ] a url [ / url ] )
note I've had to put lots of spaces in to stop those appearing as actual URLs!
