It was actually at the 2002/2003 SUSF Super Special Stage held at Achlean, Kingusssie, Great Britain.

Well that's still in Scotland and the World cup is still in England - I thought that was something you Scots were always very keen to point out

Who is the hosting country? GBR!

What is the name of the squad representing the host nation? GBR squad

What colours shall they be wearing? RED WHITE & BLUE (and I don't see no blue in the English Flag!

and to keep N.I. in the mention the country should be "The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland" but in my view GBR always means NI too.

In a time of Globalisation and with corporate companies gaining more and more power and becoming bigger and bigger and have louder says in world affairs I think that there is no time when refering to a world event like this to refer to it as a sub country like England (as companies get bigger countries are getting smaller! It's not the way it should be, globalisation should harmonise to an extent), we should remain Great and proudly say it is in The United Kingdom of GBR and NI. There's a time and place for being Scottish, English, Welsh, Northern Irish, Isle of Manish and the rest but in an event like this you should promote it as GBR to the world scene.

But who said my posters were being used to propmote the Jk - they are not - because by the time the people see them they will already be there - they are to show some exciting images of orienteers in action to decorate a rather well-used rugby club bar - one I know for a fact was taken in Italy - i am not for one moment suggesting that the terrain JK entrants will be running in looks remotely like Scottish, Lake district or any other terrain - as I rather feel the world cup literature is - and before you sey "Well it doesn't actually say so" no it doesn't have to - It is a notion called "juxtaposition" which is a very distinct reality in the laws of misrepresentation and defamation - so there

Gross your extract from Heather Monroe is correct as it is SE England and England. England is part of GBR or the British Isles. You might be right about the header but not this, if the event was in Inverness you'd say Scotland not Great Britain wouldn't you?
