tonight i was one of the lucky 100ish, and one of only 2 who knew him, to witness edward nicholas take on his toughest challenge yet.
standup comedy.
yes, eddie went mad recently and phoned up the stand in edinburgh and asked if he could do some standup. so they let him. but none of this open mic pish for edward. no way. eddie was put on for 5 mins in an evening of very short sets from people hwo had done this quite a lot before. one of them was frankie boyle (http://www.comedy.cqdweb.co.uk/frankie_boyle.htm) for christ sakes.

and do you know what? he didnt suck. considering most comics bomb real bad on their first attempt, he did quite well really.
