How can start times have been based on results including races (FCC2005) Wwhich hadn't been run when lists were published?

Not strange, just down to my inability to read a calendar. At the time I wrote the note on elite start times I wrongly thought that I'd be able to do the elite start times after the first set of FCC races and thus take them into account. In the event they had to be done last week. Hence the anomaly.

With people wanting more and more live results, has no one suggested running a second monitor from the download computers that can be seen by spectators. it could scroll through the age classes to give the current standings.

Make it look a bit like those ones you get on train stations. Sure it wouldn't be too hard or expensive now that were all on e-cards, and old monitors go for pennies if you go the right place.

Im not involved with the results at the JK. I dont think there is an intention to do live results although there is commentary.

The YBT from last year shows what is possible on a tight budget to the web.

For normal chasers events I try to post results at least a couple times to the web during the event.
Should have splits as well now I have a 3G phone.

The next thing within the next 5 or 6 years will be 3G users regularly checking results on the way home using their mobiles if they are available.

For the last few years Ive had friends phoning from traffic jams on the M6 on the way back from the karrimoor to get me to look on the web to see thier postion...

the JK site used 3Gb of bandwidth in the last 24 hours and had 279070 hits

Hoping to get some routes up from Day 2 (a variety of courses, podium finishers) later tonight/tomorrow morning.

Will also try and get the courses up from Day 1 (they got trapped by our spam filter and we didn't find them until yesterday, so thats why there's no Saturday routes coming ).
