think im at the weston heath event..havent got a clue really...but how come there are diff womens and mens courses on the green and blue...when their both the same length with the only diff being the climb

i jus didnt see the point of having two courses...same length, same technical difficulty, same number of controls but then 20m climb difference i mean, they must be almost the same....so why bother?

Just because they're the same length doesn't mean they're the same course; could easily plan two courses exactly the same length but going completely different directions - and it is almost certainly to cater for large numbers of people which can't all fit on one course (unless starts went on all day).

At the SE heat there are about 150 people on the Men's blue course! So the women have to have a separate course!

or..it could be so that they can get all runners running in a certain amount of time (start times 10.30 - 12.30)...with only one course this wouldnt of been possible...(and yes, i could of just asked my mother in the first place!)

neways...how were the events? weston heath?! who went there? omg...who else was in the rhodedendrn area? i thought it was really silly putting a control in there....im generally faster than my mum, but she beat me by bout two mins there and we both took similar routes (i.e straight) and i didnt make a mistake...surely route choice shouldnt make that much of a diff to times...

NW round was fantastic! Twas brilliant running around a big hill in the snow, although someone managed to get the control descriptions mixed up for the mens and womens blue courses AND put a control in the wrong place. Still enjoyed it though.

According to these FVO beat ESOC by 2 points and INT and TAY were equal in third.

Slightly less provisional results have ESOC and FVO with the same points. ESOC win by the rules. INT clear in third place (by 3 points)

yep i did.....how on earth were little ppl meant to fight their way thru that....i know you could maybe of gone round the top thru the white...but there were some scary marshals stopping you gng onto the path so i didnt wanna go past them...
