Is emit hire included in the entry fee then? as its not mentioned anywhere in the details that I could see. If someone has their own emit will entry be cheaper?

Liverpool does have a small orienteering team, don't know if any one is in charge or if it is an adhoc team, I could try and get a message through if you want to send anything to them

this had better be a damn good busa, having just seen the bill its costing an absolute fortune, £50 per person! (and of course transport on top of that). That "award winning restaurant" better be worth it!!!

firstly we will still accept entries for the time being
secondly if you can get in touch with liverpool that will be great
thirdly we arent doing it all through the army so it isnt dirt cheap, but compared with what most people (conference people) pay to stay at warwick this is bloody cheap, i'm not sure how you get to £50 as doesnt the union pay entries and at least £10 towards accom?
i would have thought transport from scotland would be the most expensive part of it all

the benefits of paying slightly more are - from one side of the accommodation (where you to look out of the window) you would see the building where dinner, the party and breakfast are being held, and from the other side of the building, you would see the assembly area for the relay

could tell you all about how great it will be, but that would spoil the anticipation (and it could be lies)

You'd have to have a very nice union to pay the entries and a tenner towards accommodation. The funding ShUOC have received from our union this year (for anything, not just BUSA) equals precisely zero. We took the decision that the club would pay entry fees out of our membership fees since we wanted as many people as poss to go and we thought £50 was prohibitively expensive.

I'm not criticising because I'm sure it's a great deal for what we're getting - it's just that to most students, £50 for a weekend plus transport sounds a lot.

EUOC get about £4500 from the home of deitys that is the sports union. we then get to spend this however we like. spending vasts amounts of money on BUSA means that other parts of our program get shelved. which is a bugger.
