And you can also get the joys of the wonderful online entry system if you like. Although carrier pigeon would probably be more reliable and accurate I would think.
I dont have physical example becausee when we were entering online we didnt happen to take screen shots. However, I could ask my entries secretary to give a list of what difficulties were encounterd during the procedure if you like.
Having just done my entry the most obvious comment is that the BOF database being used is very out of date: SI card changes from last spring and and address change from September not being included.
Using "back" to edit the form wasn't working well in Internet Explorer. Could get back sometimes but then kept finding something else I needed to change and ended up starting again several times.
The Entries Secretary had trouble getting the system to accept a M21 paying student rate. this was also a problem when entrying the Welsh back in the summer.

That is why, Mrs H.
Welcome to the 21st century. Its great that one can now start to enter races on the internet, although, as expected, there are a few areas for improvement, but this is to be expected when trying somthing new, and is eessential to improving the onliine entry systems.
In Sweden nearly all races are entered over the internet.
I have to agree with Godders, the BOF database which is being used is ancient[/i]

Good - I agree - even with the odd glitch it's a million times better than paper entries as far as I'm concerned and must make life a lot easier for the entry people.
Those people who have encountered problems and reported them have had them either due to
a)the check string where 1)the address is not up to date- as mentioned 2)they use house name for check string which differs from database- post code might have been better check string perhaps.
b) the credit card authorisation not going through. This is normally resolved by trying again, the failure is possibly due to system overload but is out of the hands of the online entry system.
The number of online entries suggests that this method is used by at least 50% of the enties so far.
Got to agree, I would much rather enter on line than by post.
Each time I use the entry system I always have the same problem. I enter all the courses for the family W50S, M45S etc then when I press the submit button the course suffixes disappear and I have to re-enter the information as it says the form is incomplete. Quite often it may be more than one field which needs re typing. Anyone else have this problem??
My entries secretary didn't fully understand what the check string was for, or what it was meant to be. Prehaps there coulc be a clearre exapmle or sothing.
