The National Event in the WCup program will be UK Cup. The Oxford Sprint was supposed to be but we have yet to decide whether we're going to stick with it on its original weekend or not. Will keep you posted!
Will? We've got proper fire now!

But looking at the programme it looks fair with a good geographical balance..... if you live in New Zealand that is.
It strikes me as totally ridiculous that such an important competition with GB Orienteering continues to be so much down south.......... the students at Edinburgh etc are going to struggle with the travel time & cost. The Sheffield lot won't be much better off either.

If only most of them were in term time! The TVOC weekend is the last weekend of our term though so if people are looking for cheap floor space, I'm sure most of OUOC can oblige.

i can't really argue with the series, i think its cool the way it builds up to the world cups with a real focus on fast and furious o'ing. true it's a long way from the 'burgh but we'll cope, most of the races are during easter hols anyway so we're just going to rent a flat in the south east for the month. or something.
but ta for the concern gross!

i'm sure my parents' house can be rented during easter hols
(though there will of course be 4 permanent residents as well), ideal location as is within 2 hours of nearly every uk cup race, plus u get the banter of mharky and myself - however you will have to put up with busted being played in the house!

The reward of a thing well done is to have done it.

The UK cups are mostly down south this year, but that reflects the World Cups being in England next year. This means a lot of travel for us Edinburgh lot, but I for one can't wait! The fast and furoius nature of southern orienteering is certainly different to what Scots are used to, but fun none the less. Penhale is taking the pis somewhat though. I predict another Jon X post about why the british elite didn't go to the BEOC long...

Next you'll be telling me that you elite types don't see Penhale as very relevant for Japan or something....
Nice to see you have learned from Gross The Guest and protected your identity by registering at last though!
