Animals Attack

I guess so but it really depends on conditions as to what gets done with those building blocks. I think you can get all the essential amino acids from eating beans and stuff, but yeah, you don't have to expend the effort on some of the non-essential ones if you get them straight from meat. I think the numbers are something like, feed a field of crop to a cow and it will feed 10 people, feed it straight to the people and it will feed 100. This is obviously a bit idealistic as the crop needs to be edible to humans which some stuff that cows eat aren't.

veggies
hey, less of the farmer bashing
modern farming methods are improving as farmers are being encouraged by the government to be more environmentally friendly by fencing off areas for widlife and planting more hedges and trees creating ponds etc. etc.
if you are concerned about the quality of the meat you are buying go to a proper butcher rather than the supermarket and ask him where he gets his meat as after fooy and mouth/BSE laws were beought in to make all meat traceable right back to the farm
but whatever you do don't turn veggie
(Sorry for being a complete country bumpkin)

as of january 2005 farmers will no longer be subsidised to increase production, this was after the world wars to increase independence and to avoid the rationing on the same scale again. Instead farmers will be subsidised by the EU to maintain the land irrespective of the animals/amount it produces.

I agree it is unbelieveable how much it is possible to trace back into one animals history. an animal from the UK can be traced back through itsparents and its grandparents and back even furthur in a single second. However it is not the same for beef from outside the EU.
going back to the point someone made about animals travelling, it is often not economically viable to transport animals long distances between farms. Often animals are only moved to slaughter, animals must be killed in a slaughter house if they re to enter the food chain, unless they are for personal use.
I believe i am now the true complete country bumpkin.

Now, can we stop this in the banter section cause it's not really banter is it now.
Put one in the discussion, then let the ranting begin.

If any of you know Confused, you will know he is a dedicated omnivore. He made the mistake of logging into nopesport on Kyle Heron's computer, the leaving without logging off. Yes that's Kyle Heron the dirty stinking vegitarian. So meat lovers, if you see Kyle anytime soon, give him a good kicking. I know I will be
