Perhaps a letter top the company and of course a hint that you will be contacting their competitors would be more forth coming. Our club member can only do so much but surely as they are based in the region they'd not want to be outdone by a competitor!!!

I have generated numerous prizes for schools events simply by writing to companies asking for goods, products, vouchers etc.. Add that you also could do with their advertising literature and leaflets to distribute at the events. If they know they have a bunch of 'tourists' coming into the area and you are willing to distribute their promotional material you are even more likely to come up with the goods.

Yes - i was already thinking of targetting tescos as they are the nearest supermarket to the camp site and orienteers have got to eat - i'll follow that one up - thanks.

Blown clee is bloody miles, a couple of hours at least so think I may stay somewhere after, though the chase isn't far.
