I'd discounted Great Escape as rubbish about four years ago and I don't think I've listened to it since. I then decided to drag it out on Saturday morning and found it's actually wonderful. And it's happy! I've been listening to too much P J Harvey recently, needed a bit of silly.

Modern Life is also incredible though.

Blur were the first band I saw live. Well, third band, as the Shirehorses (??!!) and SFA were supporting. Blur and SFA as a first gig. I'm so cool.

Stones...Charlie Watts is a better drummer...although I did once date a girl whose dad had been in a support band on one of the Beatles early tours of Germany...neither of them had ever been orienteering

Enough of the dating rubbish! If that made a difference I'd have to say that Hell is For Heroes are the best band ever, along with the "alterkicks" who are about to be signed by Virgin.

ooh, Stones? now I'm starting to feel "cool" Still play the old 33 vinyls to reach my teeange inner self. Nothing like their version of "under the boardwalk" to get me tingly all over!
