Repeater is poo. I bought it cuz it inspired a lot of the stuff I listen to and really...it sounds like it inspired them to do something completely different as it was so awful.
Blur blur blur blur blur. There is no question.

Blur...as I live in a very big house in the country, and the other lot are from Manchester...
and it was you, Becks, who recommended that Jeff Buckley album

fugazi are amazingly good, but not british as this thread started off... but they did slightly disapoint live - full hall lighting switched on for a gig is really weird and just wrong, quite disconcerting really. and yes, 13 songs is the daddy.
jeff buckley's grace is amazing!!! i'm going to be sad enough to go and buy the forthcoming 10th anniversary edition too just cos it has bonus stuff on it...

it's alright, but I hate, hate, HATE, track 5 I think it is, and it put me off the whole album...sorry - maybe I'll dig it out and give it another spin

ok, blur seem to be walking it. it is really difficult for me. i used to love them both, and they both disappointed me at some point. however, some deciding factors. graham coxon is a ledge and i really like his new album. and by a similar argument to the OCS one, i had TWO blur t-shirts.
so blur.
and becky, i'm talking to you again now, the red mist has passed. can you remember the two blur t-shirts? i need colours and design.

listen again. listen again. it's amazing. last goodbye almost always makes me cry.
think OCS and shed seven are both a bit weak but i think the day we caught the train was our tour song one summer. ...obviously not a tour Becks was on

I'll be controversial, and say Oasis.
but I'm going to have to qualify that by saying that it only applies to definitely maybe and about half (or less) of the tracks on what's the story. Everything they've done since then is mediocre at best.
oh, and that doesn't mean that blur don't have a few good tracks, but I always reckon their albums are patchy.

I'm afraid I fail on the two blur t shirts - one had the hamburger on it didn't it? I think. But that was sooo many moons ago now...
I definitely wasn't on that tour Melons - I'd have lynched somebody!
Mogwai also genii...but they don't put a smile on my face like Blur does. I dug out The Great Escape the other day. It is a work of pure talent. If a little silly in places.
