Sutherlands safely through, looked very accomplished in a situation which could easily faze anyone. The Allens were knocked out after forgetting the training in the heat of the moment (no pun intended...) - too much of an adrenalin rush for the mum to cope with...
might soon have to be "Orienteering - Are You Tough Enough??"

THe Sutherlands were the best by miles, shame that the Creber's didn't drop out. Would have improved the chances of the Sutherlands getting through the next round.
I'm not mad, meerly insane.

Not at all, the other family picked up the clue at the bookshop first, and bought it. Hardly fair when the Sutherlands arrive a while later, not able to find the clue, not knowing the opposition stole it!! Fair play, quick thinking on the other family's part, but overall they were a weaker team than Clare, Mark, Ruth & Jim. Well done all the same, you shone throughout and I doubt many families would get past the first round!

The programme was based on a strange definition of "tough" - the family who had to be rescued from the freezing loch because they could not hack it won through later because they bought a paperback - albeit that was pretty resourceful and sneaky.
I was very impressed by the Sutherlands' inability to get completely into character - thank goodness for people who keep a sensible perspective ("we should not be doing this if someone is getting hurt") and not just do what the telly people want them to.
I found myself wondering just how "set up" it all was - how did the Policeman know to stop that particular car or decide to go after them again and why did they choose those particular people to undergo the lie detector tests? Quite entertaining though.

There were no other cars to stop!! It was a blind road! besides he was fixed by the BBC. The mum's went under the lie dectector all apart from heather because she is an actress so Maree got her job. The quiz was fixed though. They sorted the questions once they knew which intelligence we'd picked up. Plus there were 10 questions in the actual thing.
I'm not particulary complaining though as you will see next week Australia was HARD and the whole program tookl up a lot of our time - we weren't paid and at the mercy of the Cameras and producer really.
The other thing was we'd have missed the JK by going to Australia!!
the Sutherlands' inability to get completely into character
that was menat to be a double bluff- honest!!!

All in all great fun to look back on and some great friends made
