It doesn't say if it's the distance from Assembly or from Parking....and is that all parking? Is there any days with different parking fields/places (e.g. for motorhomes). TBH I'm more interested in the course distances/climbs etc. for the family, and the ability to print/have all this information before I leave. Its not like this information isn't known, I was just asking for it to be published. After all it's only 10 days to go!

Re: Lochaber 2021 Scottish 6 Days
My daughter asked for HOC to be her start time block. On days 2 and 5 she is between 2 and 3 hours different from me and my husband. That will involve a lot of sitting around socialising in the car park field!
The principle of "arrive in O kit, turn up for start time , run the course, download and go away" isn't going to work.
Similar problem with "part of the sportscotland conditions was the dispersal of competitors post run".

Re: Lochaber 2021 Scottish 6 Days
(from Colin Matheson)
Final details are currently in production and distances to starts etc. will soon become clear. For days 1, 4,5 and 6 parking and the event services area (previously known as assembly or race arena) are pretty much co-located. For Day 2 parking has only just been confirmed within the last couple of days and for Day 3 (Arisaig) event services are around 750 metres from the parking.
No entry after 1230 and no departure from around 1300 hrs will be in place for Days 3, 4, 5 and 6 so though we want you to disperse you cannot! This is due to issues with narrow roads and/or access onto the trunk road network.

... so later starters will have to stay in the parking area overnight. Definitely a breach of the dispersal rules!graeme wrote:...no departure from around 1300 hrs ...

. We have been allocated to two days in A and one day in B - not our choice - so how is best 2 out of 3 gonna work for us? We assumed it would be best 2 of 3 across the full week so didn’t make a fuss.Scores will be calculated for each group (A/B) using the S6D points system best 2 out of 3

Does Day 5 WRE continue?
Day 4 courses will be available online* after the event or are we getting new courses for day 5? Asking for a friend
*Online = Strava traces, Photos of Maps etc.

Exactly the same courses on Day 4 and 5. Organisers are asking Day 5 competitors to be honest and not access anything from Day 4. Seems reasonable to get us all 3 days of O. Suggest those doing Day 5 treat it as a very very late start slot.....!
I think all of us should cut the organisers a fair amount of slack for S3D...they are doing their best under difficult circumstances.
PS top tip for those doing Day 2 - don’t be fooled by the 5 minutes to the starts in the final details. That is 5 mins from ES (Assembly in old money), there is also 2km plus from the main parking to ES.

Routegadget for Day4 won't be uploaded until after Day5 but we can't do anything about Strava etc. The WRE courses will be new for Day5.

There are more competitors in your position than we expected when we set the scoring rules. After further discussion, we have decided not to split the scores into A and B sets and your best 2 from any results will count. We expect that there will be quite a few ties at the top but as there will be no prizes this year , you are just competing for kudos
