BO promotion through Nestle and McCain

Orienteering can expand.

Promotion is the key to their success, and in particular Facebook promotion.

Couldn't agree more - if you want an example look at the Facebook page for the Portugese O Meeting - they've already got a promotional video for next year's POM up there

Orienteers use vast amount of petrol & print maps on non-recyleable paper.... lets start a campaign to ban orienteering.

Both of which come clubs make efforts to minimise or change. Orienteers are a diverse group of people, some will be trying to influence these things.
Most O maps I've used are re-usable or recyclable.

I wonder if any chance of either company helping members of the British team?

McCain's UK HQ is in Scarborough so maybe for the Yorkshire athletes in the Squad - AIRE and EBOR each have two members?

As for Nestle, one particular athlete comes to mind as they have "Golden Grahams".

Well, those of us old enough still fondly recollect the cycling Tour of Britain as "The Milk Race". The support cars were white with the registration letters MOO.

Clubs have been asked to respond by 9 March, this Friday, to Craig Anthony. One or two of our Committee have asked if it's possible to opt out of one but not the other promotion.
Craig has replied 'I believe this may be possible, I have contacted the promotion team to confirm.'
