Nopesport completely missed any discussion of this year's Senior Home International, which took place in Northern Ireland 10 days ago. England beat Scotland for the first time since 2010 . Ireland took third place, ahead of Wales in fourth. Full SHI report/results by Homer here.
Next up it's the Veteran Home Internationals, in Scotland hosted by BASOC this coming weekend. It looks like being another close match.
Completing the set, the Junior Home Internationals are a few weeks later, to be held in Mid-Wales on 7th and 8th October.

Re: Home Internationals 2017
It's a shame the results weren't easily available before.
Still, congratulations to England, sounds like an exciting win powered by terrific relay performances from the Edinburgh & Stirling-based athletes.

As an Englishman, Mharky performed perfectly for England in the relay.

Re: Home Internationals 2017
All going well there will be GPS tracking for some VHI competitors over the weekend.
Final leg of the relay (two teams per nation on each relay) will be here from 11:00AM tomorrow:

Hopefully there will be some dots to watch on Sunday too - watch this space!

VHI Bulletin 3:
https://www.basoc.org.uk/veteran-home-i ... etin-three
Teams comprise 24 runners. Women and men, one 35 and a 65, and two of each age class between.
It will be great if there is GPS for today's relays.
There are now two races, both for 3 runners, both starting at 10:00. (Until six years ago it was one race, 2 women and 2 men per team.) There is only a little flexibility in setting up the teams with older runners running earlier. Teams must be at least 145 total age class - each country has four teams totalling 600, so 150 is the average.
Three of the four teams in each race count for a country's overall, so tracking two teams per country means there may be untracked teams up at the front of the race. The MWM may be slightly ahead of the WMW race.
Leg distances this year
WMW: 2.4 (woman), 4.6 (man), 4.6 (woman). Total 12km.
MWM: 3.2 (man), 3.2 (woman), 5.1 (man). Total 11.5km.

Not too optimistic about how much tracking there will be, only two units showing up so far. Maybe they'll pick up once the runners are out and running.

Results for JIRCs individual from today at Winterfold (which is really a warm up for JHI in 2 weeks) are now up on the Southern Navigators website. Scotland just edging out the mighty North West!

Video clip of the sunlit start of the relays and hinting at the undulating forest ahead for the runners. How many runners can you identify? Thanks to Philip@unicarval on Twitter.
I understand Jess's planning was very well-received, and the spectating opportunities were appreciated and enthusiastically embraced! The map can be found on the Loggator link that Rocky posted (and in Routegadget) and the splits suggest four gaffled sections so everyone had a personal course.
