Ah well, missed a mid-week closing date. That's my decision made for me.

I might see you 2 on the light green then as I haven't entered as there is a possibility of me getting a ticket for the Footy at Wembley, which I won't know for sure until Mon.
hop fat boy, hop!

Like many I pick my events from the BOF fixture list by using the "radius" feature of x miles from my postcode to filter out events for consideration. Our editor does the same to extract a fixture list for the club magazine.
Events such as the Midland Champs that don't bother to put a location postcode on the events database never get selected, so don't even get considered!

Ah - that explains why the event ducked under my radar until I saw Marky Mark's reminder (10 minutes too late)
not very likely as it means a 300+ mile round trip ...I might see you 2 on the light green then

You might want to give oevents (http://oevents.info) a try. It allows you to make a personalised event list based on which specific clubs' or regions' events you want to know about at each level (A/B/C/D). What's more, it bakes the whole lot into a URL you can then bookmark. Genius!
Oh, and they have a closing dates calendar as well!

Doing BNOC the night before and given my knee would be pushing my luck trying to walk fast that soon afterwards particularly at Championship distance.

Well, for those who have missed the closing date, Saxons have an event that day at Ightham, near Sevenoaks (close to junction 5 off the M25) -using some very nice woodland.

If you've not been to Ightham before, it's one of the best areas in Kent. Some nice contour features on the greensand ridge.
I see parking is next to the Crown Point Inn - which does a decent carvery.
This will need pre-booking too. http://www.greatbritishcarvery.co.uk/ou ... rown-point

Those using the oevents service to find out what events are coming up will have received the following mail just now:
This is another reason why many of us missed the deadline

For goodness sake, quit moaning and blaming, buy a diary or calendar and use it to note events and closing dates
