Thinking about entering the British. I have visited the site and cannot find a solitary mention of any entry fees or more importantly any dates at which fees increase. Am I blind or is this info really missing?

Eddie,

You have to go to the Long Distance Race page rather than the Entries page where you might normally find this info. The answer seems to be (for M/W21+):-

1 Dec 2015 – 20 March 2016: £23.50
21 March – 10 April 2016: £27.00
11 April onwards: £30.00

PS It doesn't help that the BOC2016 URL given on the publicity postcard gives an address which doesn't seem to exist! You should try http://www.theboc.org.uk/ instead.

Well considering BOF are insisting on a standard format for everything that is extremely poor. Dates when entries change should be advettised very clearly, not hidden away.
