I think it was early 1986 when I ran at BUSA in lycra, with some trepidation as I hadn't seen them used in orienteering before. Technically they were fine, if sartorially debatable.

(Troll climbing tights, four colour narrow stripe since you didn't ask).

I heard there's going to be Troll Climbing at this year's Red Bull Robin Hood.
