He also did well at WMOC, and represented NOR in WTOC.

The wristbands are the backup timing system, equivalent to the chip timing used in road running and triathlons. The GPS units are bulkier, and are worn on the runner's back in a harness (not dissimilar to a sports bra) underneath their shirt - not that that has stopped a couple of the GPS units escaping into the forest as well!
