Yes, a tough gig today, as you'd expect in a Nordic middle... Vegetation very tricky, with some vague contour detail, and absolutely minging weather, adding to the challenge. Aidan, Sasha and Sarah happy with a 'job well done', but the others are understandably disappointed.

It looks very vague, easy to lose big chunks of time.
Edit : now they have appeared on the JWOC website too, with much clearer reproduction.

Re: JWOC
Great start for Team GB in the B Finals with Julie, Helen and Will all in the top 5 at the moment - still a few more to finish. Hopefully bodes well for our A finalists.
Aidan sounded really confident last night - he thinks he's faster than the Scandinavians and knows how to beat them technically - the Long on Thursday will suit him better, but he's certainly up for the Middle.
Also watch out for Sarah - she made a massive 8 minute mistake at control 2 yesterday but recovered to have a clean run in tricky terrain without a tow. She should have learnt a lot from that - and if she keeps it clean today she won't be far down.

Good stuff, that's a scary leg to 8, nice catching feature but easy to lose a bit of time
