Do I remember reading that special Lidar flights were arranged for some WOC 2015 maps? Is the cost of a flight out of scope for BOC/JK budgets?

It was discussed, but I think it didn't happen. We bought the LiDaR from the Scottish Government. Despite what you read in the Englandshire papers, things aren't all free in Scotland.

Try getting a friendly large-scale-drone operator to let you borrow it and fit it with appropriate equipment......

Sorry, no. They had a stand at a recent event I attended and I had a good chat with a couple of the guys. They are on t'internet tho', so can be contacted (based in Penrith).
