Highland 2015 - Scottish 6 Days website
In case you have missed it the website http://www.scottish6days.com/2015 is starting to take shape with a bit more detail plus a few of my holiday snaps to inspire you to run next year.

Congratulations! An informative, pleasing looking website that seems to contain all I'd want to know at this stage.

The photos certainly inspire me. Can't wait already.
How about a few map extracts (where previous maps exist)?

Try Moravian routegadget.
http://www.dearman.org.uk/Moravian/gadg ... reitti.cgi
Glen Affric is also called "Plodda" and "West Guisachan", Darnaway has also been called "Sluie". But everything is being remapped with Lidar, and a glance at the OS map will tell you there's more to "Darnaway Forest" and "Glen Affric" than has been used before.

Yes, I could do that.
I was thinking Freefall was looking to attract entries from casual visitors to the website. I know when I'm thinking about entering foreign events, a good map extract can be the deciding factor.

The webmaster is known to look at Nopesport and I am sure he can pull across Darnaway and Affric map extracts from the WOC site. He should have access to bits of Keppernach but I'll send him a sample anyway. The latest overview map shows Scottish 6 Days fans where they can watch WOC should that be of interest. This information was a bit lacking at Five Days of Italy this year.

If you want an example of an impressive piece of orienteering marketing you could do worse than look at this: http://www.swiss-o-week.ch/files/Flyer1_SOW2016.pdf
And it's only in 2016...

Glen Affric - the most 'intoxicating' place I think I've ever been to (except perhaps Benidorm when I was 17). Just wanted to set up camp and stay forever. Will be so good to go back to - for two days orienteering as well!

Ask and you will receive...

The site is still in development and will probably change as more content becomes available and I learn how to make it better. I'm focusing on making it load faster and a good user experience on smaller screens. An example is the way that it only loads the first 2 images and you have to choose to see more, which you may not want to do on a slow connection or limited data cap. The top row of navigation will eventually hold links to results etc. so you can get to the bits you want fast and with less clicks (or pokes at the screen).
When I find the time the WOC2015 site will get a makeover along the same lines at the 6 Day one.
I'm always keen to hear from anyone that is not getting a good user experience from the site, that includes people with some degree of colour blindness.
Sometimes the issue is with terminology in the navigation, people are looking for different words, like:
Final details or Programme or Bulletin?
Public race or Open race or Spectator race?
Where to stay or Accommodation?
Competition info or Technical info?

Very flattered to find that me and Mr Usuallylast feature on the header photo, even if it is a bit 'where's Wally'

They may produce an excellent flyer, and videos each day, but have a look at the SOW website for 2014 and tell me where the results are?

Fairly obvious from the SOW2014 Home Page
http://www.swiss-o-week.ch/en/
One problem is that Google doesn't list the home page as its top hit.
Since I'm meant to be in Vancouver on Aug 9th next year I visited the SSD website last week to consider my options for competing/spectating and found exactly the advance information that I was hoping for - ie locations/timings etc. First impression was very good.

You need to tell overseas S6D competitors that they will only be allowed to compete for three days unless they join BOF / a BOF registered club
