Day 1 PreO was an interesting affair with the 3rd section of the Final course being abandoned the night before due to the weather. The controls that remained were very
easy in the first part and then there was a hard one which due to map issues was eventually cancelled. Results below are out of 11.
Day 1 PreO (Classic TrailO) Results for GB were
Para: 20th Peter Roberts 8, 21st John Crosby 8
Open: 24th Ian Ditchfield 10, 26th John Kewley 10, 45th Sarah Jane Gaffney 9
Results of Day 1 are on here. Day 2 Model is today, Day 2 plus team comp on Friday.

Selected for GB Team on Day 2: Peter Roberts, Ian Ditchfield, John Kewley
Some of us are also looking forward to a demo of a new format on Sat morning - a TrailO Relay.

Re: WTOC
I'm delighted for John, a fantastic result, many congrats. Good result on Day 2 for Sarah-Jane aswell.
The official results were a long time coming so I guess there were a lot of protests? Looking forward to seeing the maps (I can't find them on the website anywhere)

Yes - SJ had a great result to pull her up to 20th.
Earlier ones were available under "Live" but proper ones are there now I believe on
http://www.woc2014.info/wtoc.php and then click on results.
Results just took a long time to process and I believe there was some sort of issue with permissions uploading to the "WOC" site by the WTOC guys so it had to through someone else or something like that.

OK here is a full set of the results since they have been a while being published although they are there now on http://www.woc2014.info/wtoc.php
TempO (speed TrailO)
39th Ian Ditchfield 668.5s
42nd Sarah-Jane Gaffney 684.5s
43rd John Kewley 686.5s
PreO (classic TrailO, Open class)
20th SJG 27p / 106.5s
33rd ID 26p / 184.5s
37th JK 26p / 263s
PreO (classic TrailO, Para class)
3rd John Crosby 27p / 301.5s
26th Peter Roberts 20p / 229s
Team PreO
12th GBR (ID, JK, PR)
In summary:
* A disappointing TempO with neither Ian nor JK living up to their top-30 seedings.
* An excellent PreO for John Crosby in the Para class
* A great result for WTOC debutante Sarah-Jane Gaffney in the PreO
* Disappointing results again for JK and Ian in the PreO, both again not justifying their top-30 seedings.
* A welcome return to WTOC Para for Peter - this was his first WTOC in a wheelchair.

Re: WTOC
This would be a good chance to thank our support team of Anne Braggins, Dick Keighley, Christine Roberts, Margaret Crosby, Ruth Rhodes and of course Poppy (at least one of our party considered "puppy therapy" better than the local offering of "donkey therapy").
Let's hope next year in Croatia (WOC 2015 doesn't include WTOC 2015) the team doesn't have any broken down vehicles or car accidents - they were somewhat of a distraction.
