Final details are now available from http://www.boc2014.org.uk.
If you haven't already entered, final closing dates are midnight Sunday 11th May for individual, Sunday 18th May for relays.
If you have already entered, and want to change anything (e.g. start time preference, SI card, class), most things can be changed for free online on Fabian4 up until the closing dates.

I see one of the caterers is a pig roast and the other says nothing at all about their menu other that "from trawler to trailer". Does this mean it is fish & chips ?
Any pasta / baked potato / carb / veggie options available ?
Any price indications ?

Ah, maybe the Event Programme is misleading. When it says: "Sample menus available on the website" it means on the BOC website. See here: http://www.boc2014.org.uk/Merchandise, and the link to http://www.boc2014.org.uk/images/upload ... 20Menu.pdf. Vegetarian options abound....

Re: British Long / Relay Champs 2014
Two things. Firstly, although the regular closing date for the Individual was last Sunday, we can accept a very limited number of late entries. See http://www.boc2014.org.uk/entries for details (as well as details of how to change aspects of your entry if required).
Secondly the relay closing date is midnight this Sunday 18th May. The following clubs currently have 3 or more individual entrants and no relay teams entered. If your club is on the list, and you think some teams should be entered, get on to someone in your club to sort it out by Sunday.

Re: British Long / Relay Champs 2014
Start times for the individual are now up on Fabian4.
We are also pleased to announce sponsorship from the Race the Castles event (Scotland, 10th-19th October 2014), who will be providing t-shirts to M/W10B and junior A class winners.
In addition to Buff providing yet more buffs as prizes. (Incidentally their tag line is "Flat is boring" - how appropriate...)

Re: British Long / Relay Champs 2014
So who's going to win then?
Two former world champions in the men's race. GG got the nod for the WOC team, Murray is the defending champion and Hector won the year before. Hard to see the winner not being one of them, but I reckon hard-as-nails Northern champion Duncan will be on the podium.
Among the women, Claire and Hollie go head to head again. Claire took the Scottish by 2 sec last week ...
In the mens relays, OUOC were surprise winners last year after sabotaging INTs first leg. Cherry has now been replaced by an M16. FVO, SYO and NOC will surely be thereabouts. No ShUOC on the start list ?!
Women's relay looks to be between EUOC, FVO and SYO.
I predict all the major trophies will go to Scots and Scottish clubs.

I live 15km north of the most southerly bit of Scotland, so that must make me practically Scottish, so I'm still in with a shout, right?

Hector might have a slight disadvantage given that he has the very first start time and starts an hour and a half before anybody else on his course.

Hope the controls are wide awake for him!

It's worth noting that the Long distance title is the only one GG needs to become the first man to complete the 'lifetime slam' of all the British elite titles (sprint, middle, long, relay and night).
In the mens relays... Cherry has now been replaced by an M16.
And Oleg has gone off in a huff. First time for 5 years (?) we've not had a ginger Russian on second leg.
I predict all the major trophies will go to Scots and Scottish clubs.

No ginger Russians last time I ran on the team, which I ran on because there were no ginger Russians.(2010 - we/I lost)

Re: British Long / Relay Champs 2014
Results can be found from http://www.boc2014.org.uk/results. Currently you have to go through to the live-O link for intermediate results, but final results with splits etc. should be up later tonight, and routegadget to hopefully follow soon after.
Some photos of elite winners at http://www.boc2014.org.uk/. If anyone has any other photos from the weekend, feel free to send me a link to the album (send to website@boc2014.org.uk), and I'll put the links on the website.
Also if anyone has feedback on the any aspect of the individual or relay events, positive comments or polite constructive criticism, planning or organisation, or whatever, please send to feedback@boc2014.org.uk.
