Having control numbers larger than the control codes would have removed such issues.

I did just that for a sprint event a few years ago but it was a pain (using OCAD) since I had to manually add the control code using a new symbol, since the symbol used by OCAD to display the control number/code has a fixed font size.

If you use CONDES then you can can select print control codes as well as numbers, and then you can select a different font for each one. It takes a few seconds.

Can I also add praise for the arena layout? Plenty of room to move around/between the club tents; bit of a squeeze to get to the spectators' area beside the mass start, but crossing the run out well-managed. The icing on the cake was the sizeable warm-up area on runnable ground, with plenty of time to get from there to the handover point when one's incoming runner seen at the last control. No panic and no bunching at handover. A well thought-out and competitor-friendly arena. Not sure that the commentary sound was particularly effective apart from at the finish area - but that is actually praise not a criticism!

You can do it in OCAD too - Course setting -> Course options -> Control numbering - select Number and code

Like NeilC, my version of OCAD only has one font size for both the control number and code though, unlike in CONDES

Ditto with my version (11.4.1) of OCAD.
PurplePen doesn't have the option for codes (yet )

well done and thank you for everyone who worked on repairing the entrance track of the relay area, above and beyond...again.

I've finally managed to get the relay results in a suitable format and Routegadget is now up, or start at the full index of JK events. Each relay class is listed as a separate course, and everybody in a class is listed in time order no matter what distance they ran. Clicking on the check box before the runner name on the results tab shows what particular course a person ran. Clicking on the check box against the course name shows all controls that were visited by that class.

There are now a few more configuration options available if you click on the cog icon in the top right. These include the ability to reduce the overprint size, which is quite useful for the bigger JK maps. You can also turn on speed colour coding for GPS routes.

I don't seem to be able to get re-run to work for GPS tracks, which is not a problem I've encountered previously in RG 2.

Should now be fixed. Needed to add a few extra lines of code for GPS score routes (since the event is actually set up as 14 score courses).
