The European TrailO champs will soon be taking place alongside EOC in Palmela Portugal.

Start lists for TempO Qualification and PreO day 1 are now available.

13th May: TempO Qualification (speed TrailO)
14th May: PreO day 1 (classic TrailO)
15th May: PreO day 2 + Team PreO (classic TrailO)
16th May: TempO Final

[Since most of the above are already out there, we have completed accreditation and the start lists for the first 2 days competition are already out I keep checking my diary to check that my flight is really on Friday.]

Looks like the top British result from today's Temp-O heats is Charles Bromley Gardner - 12th in Heat 2. I think its 16 to go through from each heat so probably our only representative in the final.

It looks like the GB Team were a little unlucky in the TempO qualifications, with only one qualifier through to the finals, but frustratingly a few who got very close.

JK (Meam Manager) reports:-

Unfortunately only 1 GB qualified for the final - CBG in 12 place.
ID, JK and NB missed by 8.5s, 10.5s and 12.5s respectively (20, 21 and 23rd places)

Just as with the FootO, things are clearly not always going particularly smoothly. He also reports

1st starts were delayed by 2 hours because of fog. There was also a couple of hours wait at the pre-start.

Lets hope that they have better luck all round in the first round of the PreO today.

Top brits at pre-O stage 1 open class are Ian Ditchfield (39th) and Nick Barrable (47th) - both 3 points off the lead, separated by timed controls. Finland and Sweden look as if they are going to take all the medals between them.

Unlike the FootO at least the Fog for the TempO qualification wasn't the organisers fault and by delaying they ensured a fair competition.
Results have been taking a while to come out and have various tweaks since 1st published.

Tomorrow is the PreO (classic TrailO) day 2 which incorporates the Team event.
