Thoroughly enjoyed the courses I did today. Keziah did her first Urban event and is happy she only got lost once. My course was good too, some nice long legs and some trickt route choice.
Thankyou to eveyone who was involved in running the event - especially the person who arranged the most glorious weather.

Which course did you? We seem to have had rather different experiences.

Glorious was the word - Ely is lovely, and an excellent lunch sat out in the sun is a treat that we've not enjoyed since last summer. We definitely plan to revisit the city to explore more.

Very good, glad we came. But please please please, can planners please cut control lines and circles, including grid lines, where they obscure map detail. Eg just NW of 65.

and SW of 61. Went off to north as wasn't sure you could get through. As it was you could!

Re: Ely City Race - 5 April
Map was v. good and clear - only one very pickie comment - fence could have been shown around open at #36 (compare now same feature is mapped for # 60). Thought I'd be clever and chose no-brainer E route 12 to 13 (MV) but the more complex W route was 200m shorter (not the 100m I guessed during race) so did loose time. Was not impressed by the dingbat who decided it was clever to drive up pavement rather than wait 7 seconds for the traffic to move forward when the lights changed (near #49). *holes like that deserve to prosecuted with extreme prejudice.
