Assuming you were talking about the WOC team that is....
The WUOC team says it'll be announced by 19th May. But that is just a date 83 days (*) before the races. We've now had all the selection races, and the selection meeting is very soon, so I would be surprised if it isn't announced much sooner.
(*) I have no idea why the selection policy says selections will be made at the latest exactly 83 days before a given competition. But it does.

Obviously following several of the team doing the 2013 JK quiz.
Looks good for the unlucky people from last year. GG in particular obviously deserves to get in after being well ahead after 83 minutes of the long trial. Whereas last year he was only well ahead after 83 minutes of the long trial.

Re: WOC and WUOC test races
Any sign of a team declaration for eoc and etoc, that starts in 9 days? GB are down as countries attending and seeing as entries for eoc and etoc closed on 15th march, what's the secret in announcing who is in the team (should I get my daps cleaned for a last minute call
)
Were these test races also for eoc?
Anyway if you want to cheer someone on then a SBOC member will be representing Estonia, the mighty Sander Vaher...Estonia, Estonia......

I'm not sure what the big secret is. The team for EOC was 'pre-selected' in October with all Elite Development and Elite Performance Squad members getting a run. I suspect it's just an oversight that there has been no formal announcement on the BO website.

Great - are you going Rocky
I raised this on another thread back on 14th march (European champs thread) to which spookster also conceded it was an oversight, time for someone to fix it? Or shall we support Estonia, well I will be anyways.

Re: WOC and WUOC test races
I could 'fix it'. Below is who I believe is competing. Totally unofficial of course (as with everything on nopesport it is all just conjecture and rumour...). And no doubt there could be last minute changes (there have already been a few), due to personal circumstances, injuries etc. But I don't believe any of this is confidential, with the first race just next week! Apologies if any of it is wrong. As rocky says, the team being taken is largely for development (apart from a few who will be striving for excellence), to give a broad range of elite squad athletes more international experience. It also wasn't subject to any specific selection races nor done via a selection panel, it was decided internally by the squad management.

Is anyone going to post their maps anywhere? I'd be interested in seeing the courses, especially for the sprint.

I think it was hoped to get the courses on a Routegadget, but not happened yet as far as I know....

Re: WOC and WUOC test races
it could just be the way the images have been cropped but I can't see any event registration numbers on those maps, and the races don't appear in the fixtures list: were they actually registered (maybe you can register events and keep them off the fixtures list?) and therefore insured? BOF needs all the participation numbers (and levy
) it can get....

Re: WOC and WUOC test races
The E route to 1 looks slightly shorter, but no real time to spot it straight out of the start.
Approaching 10 from the W looks slightly shorter but from E avoids the need to stop and turn around. I guess its making choices like that in an instant which makes winners.

Yes all the races were registered for insurance (but in a way that means they don't appear on the fixtures list), risk assessments done, blah blah blah. I can only offer my sincere apologies that the sprint maps don't contain the event registration number, or several other items mandated by BOF rule 18.8.

I was lucky enough to be a control "warden" for the sprint event and the impressive thing was how untroubled all these athletes looked. I know that I'd have have been faffling about stopping to look at the map and so on but these guys just ran past the control and barely slowed to punch. As for the map they appeared to be constantly reading it ( I'd be running into brick walls if I tried that) and whilst they appeared unhurried they were actually covering ground at a phenomenal rate. Impressive!
