Having been asked a question by Arnold and talked to some people in the know, I thought people would wish to know that, according to latest thinking here in Italy, there will be no Venice Race in 2014. This is due to WOC as it seems there can only be one race in Venice in the calendar year.
Venice should, therefore, return to it's traditional November slot in 2015.
The 2nd edition of ROMe will definitely be 1/2/3 May 2015 and is likely to follow exactly the same format as the 2013 version although some or all of the areas may be different. Our current plan is for ROMe Edition 3 to be held in 2017 although the NGB apparantly want us to make it an annual event - more in due course.

I'm not surprised about Venice 2014 - permissions must be a challenge anyway, and you certainly wouldn't want to do anything that could affect WOC permission.
Just the Italian 5-days (WOC spectator races) prologue in Venice this year then

Yes exactly - thanks for that added clarity, I should have mentioned that particular Venice Race race.
There are definitely issues with permissions in Venice hence the cautious approach.
