Hanging controls
After going around a course with my 4 year old daughter yesterday, a gentle reminder. If a control is being used for a kids course, please try not to gripple it at adult head height. Even though I lifted her up, the punching was still awkward as the gripple padlock bit was right up against the SI hole. She said she heard a beep, and there was no pin punch alternative, so we continued on, only to get disqualified for mispunching it at the end.

Re: Hanging controls
I'm not going to get into an SI/emit squabble.
Lucy has been credited with the awkward control and results updated
The Controller's son couldn't reach it either

Thanks SIman. Much appreciated. An SI / emit squabble? Surely you must be tempted?

Depends on the adult! I had at least one that was well above my head, and took me some seconds to find on arrival at the correct place.
Nothing to do with SI/Emit, everything to do with the positioning of a control , although the planner was understandably concerned about control safety. Indeed, I've had loads of Emit controls where the plate has been awkwardly placed and taken extra amount of time to punch, unless prepared to gamble (JK last year jumps to mind).
I hasten to add, I had a very enjoyable weekend. Particularly pleasantly surprised by the area yesterday, so thank you to all concerned.
