Yvette Baker Qualifying rounds
Does anyone know when these are taking place and where? I can only find three on the fixture list.

I have just found these 7:
23rd Feb - SUFFOC at Tunstall Forest
9th March - SAX at Millbank
16th March - NATO at Slaley Forest
16th March - DEE at Frodsham
13th April - WRE at The Ercall
27th April - CLARO at Harrogate
4th May - DEVON at Mutton Moor
Do they cover the whole country?

How do you mean "country"? YBT is for ENG + CYM isn't it?
Maybe the Welsh are covered by the WRE and DEE events

Welsh YBT Qualifier / Cwpan Y Ddraig is scheduled to be held at MWOC event at Nash Woods (nr Presteigne) on May 11th. I'll chase somebody to get the fixture list amended.
n.b. As ever I think English Clubs are able to qualify by running at the WOA round. But they of course won't count for the Cwpan Y Ddraig.

I have been informed that there will not be a SCOA heat, so any SCOA club who wishes to enter can choose to enter one of the heats elsewhere.
Does anybody know about a heat in EMOA?
I realise that there is no requirement for any set regional heat, so any club can choose to enter any one heat.

The EM round was held at Thieves Wood on 2nd February. All 4 EM clubs took part and LEI won. 2nd placed NOC go through to the final because LEI were in the top 5 last year.

EAOA heat results currently showing tie between SOS & SuffOC though I have heard rumours that checks are being made to ensure that all eligible runners have been included. Its a shame that WAOC weren't able to put in a full team as that would have shaken things up.

In the spirit of the competition (exposing youngters to friendly competition) I would humbly suggest that if the result is that tight the overall organisers should invite both clubs to the final (assuming they don't both qualify anyway)
Possibly the slowest Orienteer in the NE but maybe above average at 114kg

The rules state that in the case of a tie for 1st place in a qualifying round then both teams go through to the final.

Looks unlikely then that a SCOA club will be involved this year as the choice appears to be to travel a long way west to Devon, a long way east to Kent or a long way north-west to Shropshire.

Millbank and Whitley, which is the Kent (SEOA), event on 9th March, is very close to junction 5 (Sevenoaks) on the M25, so don't be put off.

SN are travelling to Kent as possibly the only SCOA club participating.

A beautiful spring day forecast for Kent on Sunday.
Non YBT runners - if you haven't pre-entered, there are 30 minutes left on fabian4, or best get their early on Sunday.

Re: Yvette Baker Qualifying rounds
It was the Yorkshire heat of the YBT in Harrogate today, ably organised by CLARO.
1st SYO
2nd EBOR
3rd CLARO
SYO are not sending a team to the Final as it's on the same day the Tour de France finishes in Sheffield. I believe neither EBOR or CLARO intend to travel either as the Tour starts in York and goes through Harrogate.
No intended criticsm of the fixtures people responsible for the clash. It's just not possible to avoid everything.
