First and last chance for Wharncliffe from the north

The creation of maps of differing scales is not neccessary if you create
an overlay with the "corporate/club" layout, legend and other periphary.

Use the actual map as a background to this overlay and print the overlay
(plus background) at the required scale. This means you only have ONE master
at the "survey scale" (I usually use 1:15k) and various overlays for different scales.
You can also adjust the overlay for different events to fit different areas
of the map (or even create different overlays for different courses at the
same event -- see Guildford @ Blackheath -- 2 overlays, one map, one set of course files).

Doing differing scales this way means that you shouldn't get the problem of
"missing bits" off one map or the other.
